Country Place Plano, incorporated in 1972, is a neighborhood of just over 300 families located on 94 acres next to one of Plano's most beautiful parks with walking and bike trails, playgrounds, and a beautiful lake and creek.
We have an active Homeowners Association which oversees the Country Place Treehouse, grounds, pools, barbeque and picnic areas, and tennis courts. Our HOA sponsors many activities and maintains the high standards of the neighborhood.
The park around Big Lake contains large trees and is well maintained by the city of Plano. This area complements Country Place's own mature trees, the well-kept yards of our members, and the private scenic area around our Treehouse. This not only enhances the value of our properties, but also makes for a beautiful, peaceful, family-oriented community.
The Country Place Times newsletter, as well as this web site, keep our members informed of the activities and other items of interest to the neighborhood. Our activities include the Crawfish Festival in April; Splash Day, which is our annual opening of our swimming pools; our Fourth of July Celebration includes a parade, lunch, BBQ dinner, and talent show; Pig Roast Luau, Oktoberfest; and children's activities. Monthly social activities and club meetings enhance the active social life at Country Place and increase the sense of community in our neighborhood.
We have many amenities to offer residents: the Treehouse that serves as a clubhouse, one covered picnic area with a large gas grill, one covered picnic area with a charcoal grill, tennis courts, a practice tennis court, a large pool (plus a separate wading pool for small kids) that include lifeguards at certain times, a shaded playground, a sand volleyball court with outdoor shower, horseshoe pits, tether ball, small soccer goal, and a dog park. The Treehouse and picnic areas are also available to rent by Country Place residents.
